Culpepper and Associates, a leading provider of compensation survey data and consulting services, has a career opportunity for an Associate Compensation Consultant in Alpharetta, GA.

Position Responsibilities

  • Participate in needs assessment and client scoping calls to gain an understanding of client needs, for use in the drafting of proposals.
  • Assist with creating client proposals, drafting presentations, and summarizing data analysis into client-friendly presentations.
  • Assist with managing the client from researching the company, industry, etc.
  • Collect, inventory and organize information received from client to ensure proper documentation and storage of sensitive data.
  • Lead job matching sessions with clients to ensure appropriate content matches are chosen at the appropriate levels.
  • Act as day-to-day contact for client in areas of data sharing and ad-hoc requests.
  • Pull relevant market data and combine with client data to analyze results. Highlight any areas of concern.
  • Perform complex analytical tasks relating to competitive compensation reviews and creation of pay structures.
  • Model cost impact analysis for compensation program implementation alternatives.
  • Manage smaller projects with limited guidance from lead consultants.
  • Depending on specific client needs, limited travel may be required for some projects.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, human resources, finance, economics, or other related degree.
  • Two plus years of professional compensation experience, ideally in both external consultant and internal corporate roles.
  • Experience working with a variety of compensation plans and programs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient with basic finance and accounting concepts.
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or other presentation tools).
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Two or more years selling, leading, and managing billable compensation consulting projects.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or related compensation certifications.
  • Experience presenting to management and C-level executives.
