Culpepper and Associates, a leading provider of compensation survey data and consulting services, has a career opportunity for a Senior Compensation Consultant in Alpharetta, GA.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients on compensation consulting projects from initial needs assessment to the design and implementation of customized solutions.
  • Work closely with Culpepper’s sales team to qualify inbound consulting leads and RFPs. Conduct needs assessments and gather project requirements. Prepare proposals and contracts for billable compensation projects with costs and a detailed description of solutions to meet specific client needs. Close consulting sales opportunities.
  • Work as lead consultant and primary client contact on custom compensation projects. May also serve as an advisor or in a specialized role on team-based projects.
  • Responsible for managing scope of projects and meeting client expectations. Prepare project timelines, prioritize activities to meet deadlines, and ensure that projects adhere to budgets.
  • Prepare and present final reports and recommendations to clients.
  • Support growth of Culpepper's compensation consulting practice by assisting with new business development activities, such as attending professional association meetings, presenting at conferences, conducting webinars, and writing articles/blog posts.
  • As needed, work directly with assigned compensation survey and consulting clients to facilitate survey participation and compensation market pricing. This includes analyzing survey data submissions, providing guidance with job matching, and assisting survey participants with utilizing online reporting tools and outputs to effectively benchmark and market price compensation.
  • Contribute to the overall improvement of Culpepper's compensation services and solutions. Assist in identifying, researching, designing, and implementing new compensation solutions to meet client needs.
  • Depending on specific client needs, limited travel may be required for some projects.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, human resources, finance, economics, or other related degree.
  • Five plus years of professional compensation experience, ideally in both external consultant and internal corporate roles.
  • Experience designing and working with a variety of compensation plans and programs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient with basic finance and accounting concepts.
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or other presentation tools).
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Two or more years selling, leading, and managing billable compensation consulting projects.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or related compensation certifications.
  • Experience presenting to management and C-level executives.
