Culpepper and Associates, a leading provider of compensation survey data, analytics, and consulting services, has an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Microsoft SQL Database Developer in Alpharetta, GA.

We are expanding our analytics and development teams and looking for talented professionals to contribute to the growth of our compensation analytics products and services. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop database solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with other developers on projects for data analytics products and services.
  • Analyze, test, optimize, and maintain database solutions to ensure data integrity, performance, high availability, and security.
  • Document code and processes. Use Source Control to manage changes to database schema, data, and code.
  • As needed, create custom ad-hoc queries and reports to assist analysts, consultants, and internal operations.
  • As needed, DBA duties may include assisting with setup and configuration of new and existing Microsoft SQL Server instances, performance tuning, maintaining data synchronization and integration between multiple disparate systems , and backup/replication.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills using the English language.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Programming, Software Engineering, or another related field.
  • Three plus years of professional development experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Advanced T-SQL skills in creating, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience in creating ETL packages with C# or Visual Basic (VB).
  • Professional experience with R or Python.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematic skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills

The following experiences and skills are a plus and nice to have but not required:

  • Professional experience, education, or formal training in statistics, data analytics, or data science.
  • Professional experience in HR tech or working knowledge of HR analytics and technology solutions.
  • Microsoft SQL Server certifications or related certifications.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Microsoft SQL Machine Learning Services (SQL ML Services or R Services).
  • Microsoft Azure SQL Database or SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
