The 2019-2020 Culpepper Salary Budget & Compensation Planning Survey is open for participation. This survey focuses on current and projected budgets for base salary increases, salary range structure adjustments, promotional increases, and variable pay budgets. Practices topics include salary budgeting, human capital expense strategies, and total rewards strategies.

Results will provide salary budget breakouts by type of job, performance, industry sector, company size, city, and country.

If you are responsible for compensation in your organization, we invite you to participate in this survey.


Executives and professionals within HR and finance departments responsible for compensation budgets are eligible to submit data on behalf of their organizations. HR and compensation consulting firms do not qualify to participate.


Survey reports and results are FREE to qualifying participants who complete the 2019-2020 Salary Budget Update & Compensation Planning Survey by August 4, 2019.

Survey Results

All qualifying participants who complete the 2019-2020 Salary Budget & Compensation Planning Survey will receive a complimentary report with survey results after we have finished collecting, verifying, and analyzing data.

  • Immediately after you participate, you will be able to download a copy of our most recent salary budget report from March 2019. It includes salary budget data from 2,159 participating organizations reporting salary budget data for employees in 146 countries and geographic regions.
  • Final comprehensive results will be available to all qualifying participants in mid-August 2019.
